Science Olympiad
The 10th annual Franklin Regional Elementary School Campus Olympiad was held for the fourth grade students on 5/25/16. The event celebrated all things STEAM! (Science Technology Engineering Arts and Mathematics) Students participated in STEAM activities that enriched their critical thinking and problem solving in various content areas. More than 30 parent volunteers as well as over 20 Franklin Regional High School volunteers gave of their time to assist throughout the day. Professors, scientists, and engineers in the field contributed to the continued success of the Science Olympiad. The Spectroscopy Society of Pittsburgh has designated Franklin Regional (FRESCO) as a showcase school in the region. This prestigious honor demonstrates excellence in STEAM education. Visitors from local school districts were invited to attend the Science Olympiad in order to implement their own Olympiad, or enhance their current Olympiad. Many thanks to the Heritage and Newlonsburg PTO for all of their support.
