Fourth Grade Takes Math Outdoors

Fourth grade students applied their math skills and strategies in solving real life math problems as they completed an outdoor math scavenger hunt on the grounds of Heritage.  They used the environment as they found examples of things such as symmetry and patterns.  Boys and girls measured objects, utilized their math vocabulary, and created graphs and line plots from data gathered outside.  A final reflection of how they personally grew mathematically this year was also included.
